FAQs
Is the process painful?
While tolerances vary, most clients find all procedures pretty comfortable. Topical lidocaine and epinephrine is used to numb the work area.
How long is the downtime after the procedure?
Downtime and the healing process is unique to each canvas. I provide a regimen and the needed materials to care for your skin following your procedure. With all procedures there is an exfoliation or flaking phase. Some notice it and some do not. immediately after the procedure there may be some swelling and redness. exfoliation usually begins around day 4 ( as early as day 2 with lips), and your makeup will appear lighter or slightly cloudy. As the subsequent layers of skin heal over 30-45 days, the pigment will resurface.
How long can I expect my permanent makeup to last?
Longevity of permanent makeup varies greatly and primarily dependent on sun exposure and skin type. UV exposure is the number one enemy to permanent makeup. It is recommended to always wear a hat or big shades when enjoying the outdoors for any length of time *( and no, it is not enough to just put sunscreen on your brows). Oily skin types, the use of serums and acids and some medications can cause faster fading of your permanent makeup. I generally see brow clients between `12-18 months for a refresh. Lip and eyeliner work generally lasts between 2-4 years before needing a refresh.
Can I get permanent makeup if I am pregnant or nursing?
